I just won a vampire writing contest at the library with a short story I call "The Transformation" (which you can find here: [link]). Yesterday I went to the library to attend a party at which I would be given my prize. Unfortunately it was a Twilight themed party and a Twilight themed prize, and, as most of those who know me also know, I kind of abhor Twilight. The prize bag included the New Moon movie, the New Moon soundtrack, a Twilight t-shirt, two Breaking Dawn buttons, five Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse posters, and an iPod nano.
I had no idea the prize would be Twilight-themed! I just like to write!
Fortunately I know of two close friends who like Twilight. I split up my winnings between them (except for the iPod, which I kept myself): the friend who likes Edward, Angela, will receive the shirt, a button, the soundtrack, and the three posters that feature Edward and other dead people. The friend who likes Jacob, Reem, will receive the movie, a button, and the two posters that feature Jacob and other giant dogs. I figured that the shirt and soundtrack were equal to the movie, so, although Angela will get more things, it evens out.
I feel so generous, even though I admit I'm only doing this because I can't stand to have Twilight merchandise in my house. I'm almost glad that the prize was nearly all Twilight stuff, because it gives me the chance to be this generous. I know, though, that if it was a Lord of the Rings, Earthsea, or Artemis Fowl prize I would hoard it all to myself. Heh...heh, heh...
So, congratulations to Angela and Reem. You win money. (Not really. I'm just quoting.)

It does happen, on occasion, that the best response, and perhaps only possible solution, to profound and seemingly unsolvable questions is:
"That's fucking retarded."
The format's kind of weird, they're the lyrics and above it are the note names.
